Obituary of Richard M. Kwak
Richard M. Kwak, 65, of Kingsboro Avenue, Gloversville died unexpectedly on Friday, May 25, 2018 at home. Born in Schenectady, NY on March 17, 1953 he was the son of the late Richard and Eva Kwak.
A lifelong area resident, Richard grew up in Schenectady and was a graduate of Linton High School. He then went on to attend the General Electric Apprentice Program and worked as a Mechanic for Miller Concrete in Mayfield. He also was the former owner of Glenville Auto Salvage in Ballston Lake.
Richard was always up for a road trip. He was an antique car enthusiast and was a collector. He was a member of the GE Apprentice Program Alumni Association and the Northland Toy Club. He enjoyed scouting with his boys and spending time with his family. Rich will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Survivors include his wife, Sally Morrison Kwak; his three sons, Richard S. Kwak, Daniel L. Kwak and Steven J. Kwak, all of Gloversville.
A Graveside Service will be held on Thursday, May 31, 2018 at 2p.m. at the Canajoharie Fall Cemetery in Canajoharie. Visitation will take place on Wednesday, May 30, 2018 from 4 until 7p.m. at the Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, 51 Fremont Street, Gloversville.
