I have known Lena for a few years now she was not only a beautiful lady but she was one of the sweetest people I will probably have the pleasure of meeting in life. She always had a smile and usually a compliment for you when talking with her. She will be truely missed and it was my pleasure to have known her. My thoughts and prayers to her family. Bobby; so sorry to hear about the death of your mom I know how much you loved and she meant to you I feel for you Bob. I have fond memories of Alter Boys, St. Michaels and your house right across the street I remember East Main and sixth grade, meeting and growing up with you. This really sucks, I hope you are O.K., but it is a tough time. You got my heart.

Patty, Robert and Family: I am so sorry to hear about Lena. I have known her since I was a kid over 60 years ago the family lived across the street from St. Michaels. Patty and I have been friends since our kindergarten years at East Main Street school, we are still great friends and Patty is My Little Angel. My sister Sandy and I actually planned on visiting Lena next month when we return to Amsterdam for a weekend visit to see family and friends. I know all of Lena's family and friends will miss her but she lived a good life for 98 years. I really believe there is a heaven, so Lena is now in heaven with her husband, family members plus a bunch of old friends, I am sure they are having a lot of fun, eating great food and telling some great old stories. Patti, Bobby and family,
We are going to miss your mom so much. Whenever we visited her she always made us feel special Her compliments and stories could only make one smile and laugh. That is of course if you were on her good side! Our world will be a little less happy without Lena but the great memories will always be with us.

Aunt Patti, Jodi, Bobby and family, I am so sorry for your loss. I loved "Grandma Lena" like she was my own Grandma. When she lived in Highland Gardens, I used to bring her cookies every Christmas and a little plant every Easter. She always had a friendly smile on her face and was always happy to see me. She would always tell me that I shouldn't have baked the cookies or brought the plant, but I know she liked my visit, and I loved seeing her. I will always remember "Grandma Lena". My sympathy and prayers go out to all of you at this difficult time. Keep your memories close in your heart.

Patti, Bobby and family,
As my Mom's best friend, your Mom was such an important part of our lives. I always felt she should of had her own sitcom because no one made us laugh more. She was a great storyteller, a fabulous cook, a true friend and the BEST Godmother in the world! She was always there for us with love and support when we needed it the most and she made everything more fun. She made us feel good with her compliments and appreciation. She would light up the room with her amazing personality. I will miss her so much but her stories and laughter will be with me forever.

Truly shocked to see my beloved Lena has passed on. While visiting both mom and dad at River Ridge in 2016, Lena and I had many great discussions and fine times on the back patio, especially with the wine and food.
