I met Bruce and Jenny, Mr. and Mrs. Wadsworth, more than 40 years ago at the bus terminal in Fultonville when I was a mere child. It being my first Fresh Air Fund trip out of the city of New York and meeting them for the first time, I was crying as I wanted to stay with my brother who was assigned to a different family. Bruce picked me up, comforted me and, from that moment, we made an everlasting bond that has lasted all these years. He was my Dad; the very best Dad in the world...and I still call him Dad. Mrs. Wadsworth (Jenny) was my Mom, Doug, my brother, and Mary, my sister. It has never changed. They are the best family in the whole wide world.
Dad, I will miss you but I will never forget you. May God bless you and may you rest peacefully in the arms of Jesus. I will always love you !
