Obituary of Iris Graham Haines

Mrs. Iris Graham Haines, age 88, of Fish House, Saratoga County, NY, died Saturday, June 25, 2016 at Chatham Hills Subacute Care Center, Chatham, NJ. She was born July 8, 1927 in Philadelphia, PA, the daughter of the late Henry and Florence Purdy Graham. She was a graduate of Ithaca College of Conservatory Music. Iris and her husband were the proprietors of Yeides Delicatessen in Union, NJ for over 20 years. In 1979 they relocated to Fish House where Iris was organist and choir director at the Northampton United Methodist Church at Fish House for nearly 30 years. Survivors include her husband of 66 years, Richard F. Haines; three children: Gregory A. Haines (Barbara) of Manalapan, NJ; Jeffrey M. Haines (Stephanie) of Peterborough, NH and Susan L. Haines of Kenilworth, NJ; three grandchildren: Derek Disbrow, Tyler Haines and Heather Haines. Also surviving are three sisters: Mary Lou McDermott of Newport News, VA; Janice Kaliski of Harrisonburg, VA and Jane Annis of Jupiter, FL and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, Gary R. Haines. The family will receive relatives and friends from 4 to 7:00pm Friday, July 1st at Jeffords & Stewart Funeral Home, 85 W. Main St., Broadalbin, NY and also from 10 to 11:00am Saturday at the Northampton United Methodist Church at Fish House where a funeral service will follow at 11:00am. The Rev. Jerry Oliver will officiate. Interment will take place at Northampton Cemetery at Fish House. Memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to the Northampton United Methodist Church at Fish House, 1605 County Highway 110, Broadalbin, NY 12025.
