It is with great sadness that we learned of Candy's passing. Your family has been our "family" for over fifty years and words do not sufficiently express how we feel. We are unable to be with you in person, but please know we are there in spirit. We are holding you all close in our hearts, thoughts and prayers.
With our love, Ann and Bob

I will never forget when I first met Candace it was at one of Annie's birthday parties right after we had to sit on balloons to pop them.
I am pretty sure she suspected I was a little scared about the balloon popping and probably why she walked up to me, bent down so she was at my level and whispered in my ear my name is Candy too.
I was so amazed that someone else had the same name as me that I lost any fear I had and went on to enjoy the party.
It is one of the best memories of my childhood.

To the Sandford Family,
What fond memories I have of your mother. Candy not only worked with me at the Infirmary but we rode on so many ambulance calls when FFAVAC was in full service.
Great times were held at many ice cream socials, family picnics at the garage and the many times we got together to just talk.
The fondest time I had was when I got one of the puppies that your Mother was blessed to have come into the household. That dog was the best friend and pal to my children and was one of the nicest animals that we ever had.
The world has lost a wonderful, caring mother but has gain a true angel who will always be looking down and guiding and supporting her family.
Prayers that you and your family be given the strength to help you through this difficult times.

It's been many years since I've talked to your mom but I remember her from even when I was a little kid (long time ago!): I remember her standing in a doorway ready to welcome us in on a summer visit. I also remember the comfort she would give me in times when I needed it as an adult—we'd talk on the phone when I was home visiting. I have always admired her—that's the one thing that really stands out in my mind. I'm so sorry for the loss you must feel and I love the photo of her you've put up! Cathy (the one from France)

I'm sorry to hear of the passing of Candy. She was always smiling whether she was working at the school or if you ran into her when she was out and about. She was also a good neighbor when she lived in Fultonville. May the good memories help during this difficult time. With Condolences and Deepest Sympathy.
