Dear Peggy,
I was sorry to hear about your mom. She was so kind and a wonderful teacher. When I lost my mother at 16, I fell behind so many lessons. She was just so kind and caring and made sure I made it through. I loved her! I will never forget Mrs. Winsman or her lovely daughter and classmate Peggy.

Dear Peggy, Beth Ann and Kathy,
It was with great sadness that I received word of Jean's death. Away for the summer, sadly I received the news too late to come to pay my respects. And respect her I did.
I am very sorry for the loss of your wonderful mom. She was a stand-up woman who worked hard always and thrived on helping her students and colleagues. I enjoyed many wonderful conversations and good chuckles with her over our many years of association at FFCS.
She brought computers into school way before many business departments had begun to do so. She was a consummate professional and great human being.

To Mrs. Winsman's Family,
I had Mrs. Winsman as my Shorthand and Typing teacher. She would give us typing paper with her stamped signature to complete our assignments. You did not have many chances to get it right so you needed to plan, use your time wisely, and strive for perfection. I learned an eye for detail from Mrs. Winsman which is why my school principal and school secretary trusted me to help them proofread many times over. She touched many lives through her dedicated teaching, mine included. May God Bless you all as you grieve her passing.

So sorry to hear of your family's loss. I have many fond memories of Mrs. Winsman (or as our class affectionately christened her, "Grandma Jean"), and she was a wonderful teacher and mentor. She taught me not only technical skills, but also some very important life lessons in our years together, and I am glad to have known her. I was saddened to learn of Jean's passing. I worked with her for many years at FFCS. She was a wonderful woman and teacher. I so enjoyed chatting with her in the FFCS Faculty room. I first encountered Jean at The Poplars where my husband, young son and I were having lunch in 1968 while looking for a place to live in the Fonda area where we were moving for Tom's job. Oh what fond memories I have of Mrs. Winsman. She taught Secretarial Practice when I went to F.F.C.S. in 1969. We use to bring in chocolate brownies on days we didn't want to do dictation and she would always allow us a pass on those day, so we could sit, eat and laugh.
May God grant the entire family peace at this most difficult time. May he reach down from heaven, give comfort to her grandchildren and children, so that they may know that she is now at peace and with her beloved family in heaven.

Jean was my class advisor in Fultonville High School, all four years. I have many memories of our activities and time together. Our class sponsored a spaghetti supper to raise $ and Jean taught us girls how to make good Italian spaghetti sauce! Nancy Pullen, class of 1954.
