Obituary of Maxine L. Perry

Mrs. Maxine Lasher Perry, age 88, died Wednesday, February 2, 2005 at Christian Health Care Center, Wyckoff, NJ, where she had resided the past four years. She was born September 19, 1916 in Gloversville, a daughter of Albert and Lulu Horton Lasher. A 1933 graduate of Gloversville High School, she was employed at Twin City Dry Cleaners in Johnstown for many years, and later at Johnstown Credit and Collection for many years. She was of the baptist faith. On June 23, 1934 she was married to Gerald W. Perry who died July 3, 1989. Survivors include three daughters, Margaret A. Brodeur of Oakland, NJ; Eleanor P. Hartmann of Lake Worth, FL; and Judith A. Perry of, Johnstown, a sister, Alma Eaton of Naples, FL; 9 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 PM Friday at Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, 51 Fremont St., Gloversville, where a funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM with the Rev. R. W. Williams officiating. Interment will take place in the spring at Johnstown Cemetery.
