We are truly sorry to hear about Alice's passing. I stopped in to see her every year when I came up to Amsterdam in the summer time. She was a remarkable woman who loved us and was loved by John and me, Kevin, Ricky and Mark Husted. She was like a grandmother to my 3 sons when they were young children growing up on Locust Avenue.
I used to work and come home and make dinner for my 3 sons and Alice most always came over and did the dishes for me. What a lady! I miss seeing her and the other ladies sitting on McGaffin's porch on Locust Avenue in the evenings. I have many wonderful memories of Alice that I will treasure always.
