Obituary of Patricia A. Leggiero
Patricia A. Leggiero, 55, of Florida Avenue, passed away suddenly Thursday morning at her home.
Born in Amsterdam on June 7, 1950, the daughter of Carl Dabiere and the late Lena Martuscello Dabiere. A lifelong resident, Patty was a 1968 graduate of Wilbur H. Lynch High School. She then went on to receive an associate?s degree in business from the Junior College of Albany. For the past twenty-two and a half years, she has been employed by Liberty Enterprises, currently serving as benefits coordinator in its human resource department.
Pat loved to travel and spend time with her loving family, which now includes her four grandchildren.
She was a communicant of St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church. It was there that she married Joseph G. Leggiero on Oct. 3, 1970.
In addition to her beloved husband, she is survived by her loving children, Mark Leggiero and his wife Jenai of Amsterdam and Tami Leggiero and Jason Skotarczak of Amsterdam; her father, Carl Dabiere of Amsterdam; her sister, Susan Pozniak and her husband Joseph of Amsterdam; brothers, David and his wife Sharyn Dabiere of Hagaman; and Dennis Dabiere of Amsterdam; and her grandchildren, Markie, Mackenzie, Madison and Hannah. She was the sister-in-law of Peter Helen Leggiero, Las Vegas, NY; Michael Marianne Leggiero of Rotterdam, NY; Richard Jenny Leggiero, James Leggiero and Patricia Leggiero all of Amsterdam, NY. Aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 9:15 am at St. Michael the Archangel Church with the Fr. Pascal A. Iannotti celebrant. Interment is in St. Mary?s Cemetery, Ft. Johnson. Relatives and friends are invited to attend and may also call on Sunday from 4-8 PM at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue.
