Dear members of the Spencer Kaiser Family, especially my dearest friend Judy, I understand the range of feelings that you all must be having now with the passing of your father and husband. I feel that I know him a little from Judys' discriptions of him as a man and father. I always hoped to meet him one day. He must have been a true gentle-man in every sense of the word. I know that you will miss him beyond measure. What a gift to him from his family that he could die in his own home surrounded by those he loved best.
With heart felt sympathy, Cuba

Dear family, I knew "Spence" in the early 80's when we worked together at Threher and Jungs in Amsterdam. He was always so friendly and helpful. We knew many of the same people as I grew up in JOhnstown and now live in Perth. He always spoke lovingly of his family. I'm sure you will miss him tremendlously but take comfort in all the special memories you have made over the years. My sympathy and prayers-- Cheryl Kruger

Beloved family,
Love is a universal understanding. We make this communication/realization through our hearts. We already loved all of you even though we have not met everyone. Mr. Spencer was therefore already a part of our family here in Brazil. Our thoughts have often been with him during his last moments on this land. We are now sad, but we are full of faith and hope that he is now even better than we. Now, much closer to God and perhaps again feeding the birds as we have now learned that he loved to do. He will continue to be a part of our Universe and of our families and we are all sons and daughters of the same God. We love all of you and ask that God give you strength.
Our deepest thoughts

Querida família,
O ?amor?

There are people who come into our lives and leave an indellible impression, no matter how long it has been since the last meeting. "Spence" was certainly one of those people. Few men have the strength of character and deportment that Spence carried throughout his life. He was the definition of a gentleman, kind and gentle, and a wonderful role model for his girls and their friends who "invaded" his house on Eighth Avenue at all times of the day and night back in the 1960's and 70's. As impressionable youngsters, we would think nothing of stopping by and making ourselves at home, and were always warmly received by Spence and Shirl.
Such experiences create the fond memories that we carry with us throughout our lives, and help to form the people that we become. I hope this message is received with the love and appreciation with which it is sent. In honor of Spencer Kaiser, for a life well-lived.

Dear Marcie and family,
We only met your dad once, but it was easy to see what a kind, gentle, sweet man he was, even in his illness. We are sure he will be deeply mourned by many people he has touched through the years. We hope that you will take solace in knowing that your dad is finally at peace now and resides in God's loving and infinite care. With much love and prayer,

Dear Judy, Shirley, Marcie, Bonnie and families, Jim and I send our sincere condolences on the loss of our beloved Spencer. I have many fond memories of your family from our days at SUNY Plattsburgh and the visits to Gloversville. Spence was a wonderful role model who touched the lives of all who met him.
