I would like to thank each & every one of you who have expressed your condolences & have kept my grandmother in your thoughts & prayers. She was an extremely special lady, and I would like to share a tribute to her with you:
"You know that place between dreaming & awake, where you're not quite asleep? That's where you will be. That's where I will keep you in my heart." Rest in peace, Grandma. I love you.

I have many fond memories of Lanita. In 1969 she trained me to be a candy striper and I spent 30 years in health care after that. I also knew Norm through my parents who always shopped at "his store" Sears.
My husband was born and brought up on the "other end" of Second Avenue, where we still live today, and he and his parents have known Lanita for years. She will be sorely missed.

Dear Chris,
Your mom was a very special person to many people. She was the hallmark of what and who a nurse should be. She was a super teacher, nurse and human being. She shall be missed and remembered by many nurses and non-nurses alike. I personally shall always remember her as a special friend and my class advisor at NLH. My sympathy goes out to you and to your entire family.
Sincerely,
Cynthia L. Morey B.S., RN
