Obituary of John F. Wager
Mr. John F. Wager, 71, of Park Street, Amsterdam passed away at Mt. Loretto Nursing Home.
Born on December 3, 1934 he was the son of the late Orville and Stella Siemanski Wager. He was a lifelong area resident and was a graduate of Wilbur H. Lynch High School.
Mr. Wager was employed for Pepsi Cola for over 37 years. He was a communicant of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church.
Mr. Wager was predeceased by his father, Orville, a brother, Robert and his mother, Stella.
He is survived by his wife, the former Josephine Natoli, whom he married on April 28, 1957; five sons, John and Mary Wager of Rochester, New York, Michael, of Amsterdam, Gary, of Amsterdam, Allan of San Diego, California and Doug, of Amsterdam; one sister, Sylvia Newkirk, of Northampton, Massachusetts; six grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 9:15a.m. at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Roman Catholic Church, St. John Street, Amsterdam with the Rev. Lawrence Decker as celebrant. Interment will take place in Mt. Carmel Cemetery. There will be no calling hours. Memorial contributions may be made to Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church Memorial Fund, P.O. Box 699, Amsterdam, New York, 12010 or to the Shrine of North American Martyrs, 136 Shrine Road, Auriesville, New York, 12016.
