Obituary of George R. Kearns
Mr. George R. Kearns, Sr., 66, of Prospect St, Fultonville, passed away Saturday afternoon at home.
Born on December 14, 1939, in the Bronx, New York he was the son of the late Francis, Sr. and Mary Kearns.
Mr. Kearns moved to the Fultonville area nearly 40 years ago and was employed in various capacities.
Mr. Kearns was of the Roman Catholic faith.
He was married to Loraine Fragola who passed away in 1979. Mr. Kearns was also predeceased by one sister, Mary Beeban, and three brothers, Francis, Jr., James and Donald.
Survivors include four sons, George, Jr. and his wife Sara of Irmo, South Carolina, Frank and his wife Lorrie of Meco, New York, Joe and his wife Christine of Fultonville, New York and Brian and his wife Tina of Fultonville, New York; six sisters, Eileen Ziccardi and her husband Frank of Middletown, Connecticut, Veronica Avery of California, Margaret Skogman of California, Barbara Strauss and her husband Albert of Long Island, New York, Denise Stovall of California and Darlene Miller of California; two brothers, Thomas and his wife Doris of Waltham, Massachusetts and Raymond and his companion Patricia Santora of Salem, New York; four grandchildren, Tyler, Cheyenne, Cade and Justin Kearns and several nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family members.
A Legacy Candle Ceremony will be held on Tuesday, January 24, 2006 at 6:45 pm at the Jackson & Betz Funeral Home, 15 Main Street, Fultonville. Calling hours will be held from 5 until 7 at the funeral home. Private interment will take place in Evergreen Cemetery at the convenience of family.
