Davie and Clair -- Your dad was a special man. I knew him through my position at Noteworthy. Hy's visits there were most welcomed by Tom and all those around him. You were fortunate to have him for such a long time. May he rest in peace.

Hy became an instant member of our family the day my daughter, at the age of three, climbed up on his lap at the Oakbrook pool, stuck her thumb in her mouth and took a good long nap. That was twenty-three years ago and we have loved him ever since. We'll miss him very much.

I have known Hy since I was 3 years old, and though I was too young to remember crawling on his lap and falling sleep... he never forgot. When I was 18, I "remet" Hy and formed a special bond with him. My grandfathers had both passed and I sort of adopted Hy as my own. He was such a special man, always sweet and always smiling. I am honored to have had him in my life. I will love him and miss him always.

We were so sorry to hear of your Dad's passing. I know you have wonderful memories of him. I do remember his sense of humor and the jokes he would entertain us with. Love, Sheila and Jim
