Dear Jim and George,
Your Dad will be remembered with fond memories. Val, Wally, and I can remember how good your Mom and Dad were to us when we went to visit them at the store. Your Dad use to say, "take any thing you want"...soda, candy, and gum were a treat for us just like the Barker children! It made us feel so special! Your Dad was out for a ride this spring with Edith and her daughter and they stopped by and saw my T-bird. We had a brief but nice visit. I was amazed that he asked "Did you drive the T-bird?" when I went to visit him in the hospital only a 1-1/2 days before he died. I know your Dad was very dear to my Mom her older brother, my Dad hunting and fishing, Wally Godfather and uncle, Val and I wonderful uncle. He will be missed by us all.
Love, Darlene

To Bud's Family . . .
Although I haven't seen Bud in a long time, I've known him and the whole Menge family since I was a little girl when my parents bought the farm from Ma and Pa. My deepest sympathies to all. I'm so very sorry.

Hope you both are doing OK, just wanted to say all our kids in Florida allthough they didn't get to see him much, thought a lot of him and want you to know how sorry they are. They'll never forget how special they were treated by them. Treats were a high lite since they didn't get many. Love, Cookie & Clem
