Dear Kara and family,
I am in Gloversville for the week and just learned of your loss. I am so sorry for all of you. I have such wonderful memories of spending years between my home and yours, and feeling so comfortable in your home and under your mother's care. Those were special times.
I would love to say a more personal hello at some point in time. In the meantime, take care, and know you and your family are in my heart.

While employed at Hale Creek, Linda would come in for assistance from the parole office where I worked regarding some of her "guys". We would often get a chance to chat about life in general and we became good friends. I have since retired and lost a little contact with everyone but I do remember good times I shared with Linda. She will be missed.............by ALL of her friends at H.C.

Kara and Family,
Words cannot express how sorry I am. It was only a month ago that I was sitting in the living room visiting while mom and Bill were whipping up a nice dinner for all of us. She has always been so gracious in welcoming me into her home. From those many weeks of me taking up residence at Queensboro Manor for gymnastics camp to us growing into young ladies and sharing glasses of wine , laughs and memories together. Please take comfort in knowing how proud she was of her family and know she will be watching over you with pride.Heaven has opened its gate to a wonderful guardian angel and I know she will continue to watch over each of you. Kara.. you are an amazing soul. You always remain strong and continue to be an inspiration to me.Your mom will be sadly missed but always remembered. God bless.

Kara and family,
My heart and prayers are with you at this very sad time. I will miss seeing and speaking with your mom- We always for some reason would meet up in Price Chopper and talk for at least 10-15 minutes each visit. I always knew every little thing you were doing and was so excited to hear all about the new wonderful things going on in your life. We loved to talk about the days of gymnastics and how succesful our children had become.
May God continue to watch over and Bless you with strength and courage. I am so very very sorry for your loss.
Regards,
Carol Ryder and daughters

When Linda first came into my area of the Correctional Facility, I was the Officer in charge of the building where Linda taughtmy first impression was that this person would most certainly be more comfortable
helping kindergartners tie their shoes than teaching felons the English language. Some would say that her innocence and naivity was a trait not fitting a correctional setting. On the contrary, "Missy" as the inmates dubbed herhad the uncanny abilty to melt the coldest of heart, and soften the hardest of the hard.I loved to watch her expression when I would shock her with an old "war story." And most of all, her shrieking, cackling laugh when we would exchange jokes. She would always whisper the "bad words" when telling me her joke...I just thought that was adorable. She was the beaming light in an area of gloom. We are all going to miss her dearly.
