My grandma,
I am late in making this entry because it has been difficult for me to put into words how I feel.
I know you had to go and you are now in heaven with the angels. I miss you and will always remember the unconditional love you had for me. You always wanted to know if I was okay and would make special cards for me. My mom still has some of them yet. You would iron
flowers with wax paper over them.
They were always so pretty and you would write a special note just for me to let me know you missed me and that you loved me.
You were always baking and having food ready for us when we would come in from California to visit, and when we would leave for the long trip home you would pack home baked cookies for us for the trip home.
So many memories, too many to list here. My mom tells me to not say goodbye but to say we will all see you in the morning. Yes, on that special day we will all meet together once again on the first day into eternity. What a glorious day that will be.
Yes, we will see you in the morning grandma,
Your loving grandson,
David Daniel Strausser

I have shared my life with my wonderful, sweet & kind Aunt Martha from early childhood up through the years, and now she is resting with Jesus, where she is free of worry & pain, and watching over us. As we children grew up & shared visits to each others house for dinners, picnics & just a good fun time together, we always looked forward to the next visit, at our house or Martha's house. There was always plenty of homemade ice cream we would hand crank, taking turns, and letting it ripen. We went on many picnics along the shore line of Sacadaga Lake, swimming & having fun.
Once Norma & I shared our life together, Martha & the her family were loved so much, as we shared again many visits & get together with Martha,s Sisters, Brothers, and relatives, who came from distant states for visits.
Our memories are filled with the wonderful times & the love she has shared in so many cuntless ways.
We will always love you Aunt Martha and think of you forever.

Dear Gram,
You are my heart.
Remembrances of my childhood are filled with you teaching me how to cook and bake and sew--for which Frank thanks you. You, crocheting and sewing and making beautiful outfits for me--and all my dolls; always humming to yourself, whatever chore you were doing; falling asleep during our Sunday afternoon car rides.
Everyone who met you, loved you because of your sweet, kind, gentle nature. You always welcomed everyone into your home--friends, friends of friends, relatives. That's why everyone always wanted to gather at your house--and they knew there would always be lots of good food to eat.
Frank adored you from the moment he met you. You flirted your way into his heart. Your smile, laugh, and humor always made him smile--and me, too. Look up "cute" in the dictionary and there's a picture of you.
You always made each of us, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, feel like we were your favorite. Knowing you, each one was your favorite. You were our favorite, too. And always will be.
Berry picking, home-made ice cream, picnics, Hollywood poker, Bingo, New Year's Eve, Sunday night supper, laughter around the dining-room table, Love--all these thoughts remind me of you.
Gram, we are so lucky to have had you in our lives for as long as we did--we were blessed. I thank you for being you and taking care of all of us--especially me. You will always be in our hearts and thoughts. I pray you're smiling down on us with grandpa, humming a happy song.
Our Love Always,
Carole & Frank

Our prayers and thoughts are with the family. Martha was one of my favorite aunts. We didn't get to visit often as we live so far away but we would always enjoy a visit with Marha, when we north. Gene, I remember the fun we all had, when we were kids, and our parents got together.

My Grandma,
Words cannot say how deeply sorrowful I feel at your passing.
I so wanted to get to see you and
almost made it in August., but I
could not and now this grieves me.
The memories I have of you are so special. Too many to list here, but I remember we always got together at your home often , even
traveled in from California to be there with you and grandpa most every year. The whole family would
come together and we would all have a great time playing kick the
can and you grandma always cooking and baking special foods for all of us. But one time that stands out for me was the time we came in
and I had caught a jar full of fire flies. I took them to show you . I had never seen fire flies before and you hugged me and laughed because I was so excited.
Your chocolate chip cookies and muffins, I can still smell them baking in the oven at the thought of them. And boy, the homemade ice cream as I watched grandpa down in the cellar making. Best of all I can remember and will never forget your hugs and kisses you were always ready with plenty of.
I will alsays love you grandma and
remember your love for me.
Your grandson Jeffrey J. Strausser

Mom, -- I call you Mom because for me since I was 14 when I met Gene you have been my mom.
You took me under your wing, loved me and cared for me unconditionally as one of your own.
You taught me to cook, bake, sew and you gave me a wonderful role model to follow,--youself!
I highly esteem you for your devotion to your entire family. "Well done faithful servant of the Lord". I now believe as Jesus extended His hand to you a second time, you embraced Him and He led you to heaven with Him.
You will ever be a part of my life and who I am. I will never forget you. I carry you in my heart. Mom I will see you in the morning.
Your daughter Patty. Gene's wife

Mom, I am so full of sadness and joy at the same time. I am sad that
I will not be able to see you anymore and tell you that I love you and share the love that Jesus
has for you and your whole family.
I have also great joy in my spirit because you now have gone with Jesus for a second time. After your
out of body experience in 1935 and he gave you 71+ more years.
You have not only raised your family, but you served Jesus well
by all your good deeds you did for
your loved ones and friends. Sewing, altering, mending, cooking
and baking always in love for all of us. Standing by the side of your family when there was strife
between spouses, protecting and caring for their children. Jesus
said "if you have done it unto the least of these, you have done it unto me." I believe Jesus is saying to you now well done good and faithful servant.
Mom, you can now be with those who have gone before you with no more worries, pain or the stress of this world. You are free to worship and Praise the Lord with
undescribable joy. I will see you again on the other side.
Your loving son Gene

Martha was my last link with my Mom and Dad and the Scott family. Mom and Dad Joe & Mae Hartmanoften talked about Gloversville and how much they enjoyed Martha & John. When I read the obit, a lot of memories came back to me of Scott, Dick N. Edith, and my Grandma Katie Hartman. Martha got her wish to become 100+. My sincerest condolences to the Strauser family.

OUR GRANDMA/GREAT GRANDMA
Our Grandma/great Grandma was a beautiful person inside and out all through her life. She would do anything for her family, she may not be here with us but she is watching over us & she lives inside of us.
Whenever anyone came to see her she brightens up & she smiles & you could see the sparkles in her eyes. When she was feeling down her Easter bunny would make her happy and smile, the bunny would make her dance and clap her hands. I think that her favorite part was when the bunny moved his foot up & down.
She also loved to sing Yes Jesus Loves Me she used to sing it with Mom/Grandma. She loves Jesus with all her heart. Her children/grandchildren will miss her good cooking especially her chocolate chip cookies and blue berry muffins. She had a good sense of humor like one time my granddad Gene was video taping grandma & told her to say hi Mom Susan& she says I love beans they are good, & then she wave to the camera. She always had had a loving caring heart for her family. Even though she has gone to the lord but her spirit lives inside of us & all around us. She would want us to move on with are lives & still want us to keep her in are hearts & dreams.
We love grandma/great grandma we were blessed to have her for so long, she is now in heaven with the love ones who left us long ago. She is now singing with the Angels & looking down on us. She won't be in anymore pain or sorrow & one day we will see her again.
To Grandma/Great Grandma,
We truly honor you!! We all have a part of you inside of us!! We will always love you!
