I am Doris' first daughter-in-law and the mother of her grandchildren Frank Patrick and John Albert Squillace. What I will always remember about Mother Doris is that she was extremely alert and oriented 3 times until she had her first stroke. I will remember her many talents. I only got close to her the past 20 years on the phone where we talked 2 to 3 hours every week. I wished the Lord had given her a little longer so she could have a good visit with her grandsons before she passed. I will remember her love, caring and sweet voice greeting me each time we spoke. I will miss speaking to her on the phone. We all loved each other very much. I know she is not trapped in her body any longer and she is with the Lord now. We should take joy in that and be comforted.
To Frankie and Johnnie: I'm so sorry for losing your grandmother at this time. Thank you for taking care of your grandmother in her time of need. I know you loved your grandma very very very much. She knew that too as she spoke to you every week by phone. She was especially tickled when you went to bat for her. She always remembered when you were little guys and would chuckle to me when speaking of it. I know you have wonderful memories of your grandma. I know you will miss her very much. But be comforted as we know she is in the arms of the Lord now.
My condolences and all my love go out to all of Doris' family members everywhere.
Much Love
Rosemarie

I'm Frank Rhodes' eldest daughter, Sharon. My husband and I had a couple of lovely visits with Doris when we delivered her Easter dinners for our church. For a woman of her years she was sharp as a tack and a great conversationalist.
We always made her's our last stop so we could stay and visit for awhile. I'm sure she's safely nestled in God's arms!

Frank, Jon & Rosemarie: I am sorry for your loss. Your grandmother was a very special mother-in-law to me and was not only loved by me, but by my family. Doris and I enjoyed many, many good times together over the 30+ years we knew each other. It was very sad to see her home-bound these last many years. I will miss her immensely. May God comfort you during this time of loss. Gale

Dear Mary, Fred, and Tom: I loved Doris with all my heart and still do. We had so much fun together since I first met her in the early l970's. Frank also adored his mother. She was lost without him, but I did all I could to take care of her needs since his passing. I will miss her terribly, but am happy when I realize we will be spending eternity in heaven together with Frank, too. It should make everyone she left behind elated to know she is now with her son whom she missed so much. She was a very special mother-in-law and aunt. May God wrap His arms around you and comfort you in this time of loss. Love, Gale

Dear Mary & Fred:
Frank was one of my best friends as a young man and I have missed him for many years now. I am sorry I do not know Doris's other son. Doris was one of my father and my best customers at the old Mitch & Jerry's gas station. I remember her French car and how unusual it was in little old Gloversville. Doris had a keen sense of humor and was always quietly gracious and I liked her very much. To all who will miss her I want to express my condolences.
Very kindly,
Arthur Michael Ambrosino
