I was deeply saddened to hear of Mr.Smith's passing. I grew up on W State St Ext and would go trick or treating at Hank and Millie's house and I would always look forward to seeing what Christmas tree ornament he made for me each year. To this day I think of them when it comes time to decorate my tree. Your family is in my thoughts and prayers.

I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I was Hank's mailcarrier for a few years in the early 1990s. I always received a beautiful Christmas tree ornament every year and for many years after I stopped delivering mail. I still have all of my ornaments and I remember Hank and Millie every Christmas when I put them on my tree.I was so touched by Hank and Millie's thoughtfulness.

Millie, Sharon & Family,
So many people share your loss. Hank was such a special person--never a bad word about anyone and always a smile when speaking with him. My sister & I were sharing fond memories of Hank & Millie and how truly privileged we were to have such special neighbors. They always looked out for my Mom & made all of us kids feel loved. We all still have our Christmas ornaments & enjoy them on our trees. I loved the willow tree & the green swingset & swings Hank made--I spent a lot of time playing in that yard. He took so much pride in caring for his family, home and lawn. We love Hank & Millie and will never forget what beautiful people they are.

It is with deep sadness that I send this message.Hank was such an important person in my life as we were growing up on good old West St. Ext. I will be away until Tuesday evening and will be regrettably unable to visit with you at the viewing. Please know that you all and of course Millie are in my thoughts and prayers. We've all lost a wonderful man!
