Obituary of Jeffrey M. Nellis

Jeffrey M. Nellis, 18, of Hilldale Ave, Haverhill, MA, passed away Saturday May 19, 2007 at the Bringham & Women?s Hospital in Boston as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident on Thursday morning May 17, 2007 in Haverhill, MA. Born on November 4, 1988 in Little Falls, NY he was the son of Raymond Nellis and Darlene Ambridge Hemstreet. Jeffrey attended Haverhill High School and was currently employed at Taco Bell in Haverhill, MA. He enjoyed working on cars and loved his 1987 Dodge Shelby Charger, and planned on attending automotive school. Jeffrey had many friends and enjoyed listening to loud music. Survivors include his parents, Darlene & Rick Hemstreet of Haverhill, Ma and Raymond and Sandra Nellis of St. Johnsville, NY; three brothers, Christopher Nellis of Haverhill, MA, Matthew Nellis of St. Johnsville, NY and David Nellis of Haverhill, MA; five step brothers, Richard, David and Christopher Hemstreet all of Haverhill, MA, Shawn Hemstreet of Gloversville, NY, Chad Snyder of North Carolina; one step sister, Jackie Snyder of St. Johnsville, NY; maternal grandparents, Loralee Whitlock of Nelliston, NY, Nelson Ambridge of Canajoharie, NY and David Whitlock of Williamsburg, KY; one great grandmother, Barbara Alkinburgh of Nelliston, NY; paternal grandparents, Daniel and Geraldine Nellis of St. Johnsville, NY. Several aunts, uncles and cousins and many close friends also survive. Funeral Services will be conducted on Saturday May 26, 2007 at 1:00p.m. at the Lenz & Betz Funeral Home, 69 Otsego St. Canajoharie, NY. Interment will take place in the Ft. Plain Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Saturday from 10 until 1 prior to the service. Donations may be made to the family to help offset funeral expenses.
