Jeff, it's been over a year now and I miss you just as much. My heart breaks every day. I still remember your call telling me all about your plans. I just wished you'd made better choices, then maybe you'd still be here with us. I love you. Gram

Losing a child is the worst pain one can ever experience and I pray God gives you the strength you will need right now. I met Jeffrey many times during my upstate visits with his Grandmother Loralee and enjoyed his company immensely. Please accept my deepest condolences on this family's loss. Words cannot truly express my pain for your loss. I know what he meant to you all as he surely will be missed.

As i sit here and shed my tears moment after moment i remember all the good memories Jeff and I share. The races, working on cars with my brothers and him, mo-peds, thinking we were always better then everyone. Each thing i think about it kills me to know he is not here to make further more memories with, althought i know the ones i already nothing will ever compare to them and i will never foget them. Im very sorry for the Nellis' and hope you are all doing your best. Nobody ever had a grudge against Jeff he was the coolest kid anyone could have for a friend trusting, loving, and deffinatly caring. I WILL NEVER FORGET YOU JEFF, I MISS YOU LOTS BRO. LOVE YOU MAN!! :

To Jeff's friends and family,
I want to say that I am so so sorry for your loss. Ive known Jeff for about three years and in that short amount of time he became like family to me. He was always there for me when I needed a hug or just someone to make me laugh. He was such an amazing person and will be dearly missed. I will miss him with all of my heart and his memory will go on forever. Me and Tyler, another one of Jeffs close friends, just had our second baby girl and in remembrance of dear Jeff we have decided to call her Shelby. Jeff, I love you so much and I'll never forget you. I promise. Keep smiling. We all love you.

To the family members i knew and the ones i didnt know. im derek im 18 years old. i was great friends with jeff, he was family to me. we used to work on cars all day long, and dream of having all kinds of cool rides. we would ride four-wheelers and dirtbikes. we could even sit arond and do nothing and have so much fun. he was the best friend anyone could ask for; honest, funny, smart, all around nice person. when i got to the hospital i was waiting for someone to say they were going to take me to see jeff, but it didnt happen. his brothers came over and talked to me, and let me know the news. i was devistated, not everyone knows what its like to lose a bestfriend or a brother. all i can say is you should be pround of jeff. im so sorry for your loss and im even sorrier i couldnt make it to the burial. god bless you all. and to rick and darlene, your welcome to come by anytime. and to jeff, I LOVE YOU MAN, YOU'LL BE IN MY HEART FOREVER. I MISS YOU SOO MUCH.

The other day while I was in school, I heard the terrible news. That day, I looked back on our friendship and I wrote a poem for him. It's entitled "See You Later" See You Later
Flying in a 1987 Shelby never to be seen. You thought "Wow this is cool." Now you must realize that this is good-bye. So long dear friend, I'll see you later, I'll miss you so. Even though we hardly spoke, but... I can't say good bye. You were too young. The mighty Lord called your name. You were so nice and polite when you weren't stubborn I loved you like a brother. Im sorry to say good-bye, I much prefer see you later or see you around Please come and visit everyone you knew in our thoughts and dreams. So Jeff, I'll see you later. After the Lord wraps me in his arms to carry me home. Love you and miss you.
You were a true friend. May you rest in peace friend. Cordially yours, Jennifer Arndt

We share in your grief in the passing of Jeffrey. We have many memories of him in scouts and with school. We admired his determination when we remember his first year at scout camp when he had to take the swim test. We recall his stubborn streak when he would never give in no matter hard how you tried to persuade him. We will miss him terribly.
GOD BLESS YOU IN YOUR TIME OF SORROW
