Just as many have said, Kathy may have held the title of Asisstant Manager on the floors at NLH but she was so much more than that to so many of us. It's sad that it takes times like this to make us appreciate our families that we always seem to take for granted all the more, we simply realize how quickly they can be taken away.
I am honored to have had the chance to share a few quiet talks with Kathy, to work beside her and with her and will greatly miss her.
My sympathy goes out to you, her friends and family...I am truly sorry for your loss

She has been in my thoughts and prayers since I have moved away. I will miss her calls and letters, she was a unique and wonderful person. My condolences to Mark and Bryan.

I only knew Kathy a short time. I too am an RN and worked with her at NLH briefly several years ago. I admired her greatly. She was a wonderful person and loved teaching me new things. I ran into her about a year ago and we had a lovely chat. At that time she was having much trouble with her legs due to her diabetes but was cheerful and optimistic. I was very saddened when I read of her death. I know you are missing her terribly and I send my sincerest sympathies. She left behind a beautiful legacy of love and she will be remembered always.

My sympathy toward your loss. I worked with Kathy since she started at NLH but more closely since she became assistant manager. She always had a smile and made sure their was a smile on my face. She would always say"it took five years to get you to do that". Kathy felt that she had accomplished a big task. I will never forget that saying. Kathy was a good friend and would be there when I need to talk. She mention, she was a friend then my boss. Kathy and I were alike in many ways she always stated.
Kathy reinforced to me never lower the standards you believe in ,make the others raise theirs.I will greatly miss her smilely, cheerful personality. She will be sincerely missed at NLH and in my heart.

You have lost a very special wife, mother & sister. I have lost a very special friend. Kathy was my 5th sister, always referred to as "daughter #6" by my Mom. We had some wonderful times together over the past 39 years and I will carry these memories with me forever. There will be an empty hole that only she could fill.
I pray you find peace in your memories, as well.

Dear Mark, Brian, Liane and Gary:
I am so sorry and saddened to hear of the passing of Kathy, your dear wife, mother, sister and my friend.
I?ve known Kathy since the ?70s back in Worcester when Kathy was at St. Peter-Marian and Memorial Hospital School of Nursing and I was at St. John's and Holy Cross. We were part of a ?gang? that hung out and had some great times together. Kathy was always her happy-go-luck self and she made everyone feel good. I remember the cookouts on Henshaw Street and the refreshing dips in the pool. We weren?t the wildest group but we had a lot of fun; trips to the shore, amusement parks, school dances, each other?s proms. Kathy was always fun to be around.
We kept in touch over the years especially each Christmas when we would have a nice phone conversation about how things were going in our lives. Regrettably, I missed calling her this last Christmas. Oh, how I long for one more call.
Just as your beautiful memories of Kathy will help you through this sad time, I will hold my remembrances of her deep in my heart. My prayers are with you.
Farewell, dear Kathy and watch over us all.
All my love,
D

Her warm, wonderful smile, enormous kind heart and beautiful handwriting we will never forget.
