Shirley, Carol and I were close friends in high school. Our long distance friendship has spanned more than 50+ years with cards for birthdays and holidays. In fact Shirley just sent me a card on 7/30 for my birthday. She will always be in my memories.

I wish I had the opportunity to get to know Shirley better. I will not forget her love of playing games at Ted & Tammy's house. I feel like I know her from the stories Jodi has told me. I feel for her family who was so very close to her. You are all in my thoughts.

Shirley will always have a special place in my heart. She was my Godmother but grew to be more of a mother to me. She was there whenever me or family needed her. I miss and love her very much.

My condolences to Shirley's family. She was a very good and pleasant lady and I have very nice memories of conversations we used to have on the many occasions she visited my father's pharmacy. My mother and I extend our sympathy and pray that her soul will receive its just reward.

Dear Tammy, Ted, Taylor and Baily,
My thoughts and prayers are with you so much as you deal with Shirley's passing. Through the years that I have known your family I have seen how good you were to Shirley and how she was such an important part of your family. I will keep praying for all of you and am here for you whenever you need anything.
With love,
Pat

I shall always remember what a special and loving person Shirley was. I worked with her at Mohasco in the early '60's. When I became a first-time mother in 1965, Shirley presented our baby with a hand-knit baby afghan. That afghan would also be used by my grandchildren 30 years later. Every time we used it, we thought of the time and love Shirley put into it. She will always remain a special friend in my heart.
