Diane, Danny, Brian and Julie,
The world lost some good humor and a blessed character last Tuesday when George passed. He could make anyone laugh, with a joke, his big Polish grin, or his addictive chuckle. No matter how many times he told the all you can eat Chinese restaurant joke, it kept getting better. Additionally, he brought such happy energy to every food event that he helped it taste better for everyone - I am sure he is relishing his new found freedoms in heaven, and re-uniting with the Maslak's there ahead of him. I am so grateful that George was my cousin. Our prayers are with you all, Chris, Lisa, Rob, Renee and Sara

Diane and Family: So sorry to hear about George. You are all in my prayers. I have had so many great old memories of George, Bell, Felix, and other Southside classmates in Junior High and High School in the past few days after hearing about the loss of George. He was so much fun and seeing him at school with his Southside Pals was a treat because we would all laugh and usually end up involved in some crazy prank usually created by George. If there is a heaven and I believe there is, I am sure George is starting some innocent trouble and making folks laugh and laughing himself, he had a great laugh. Diane and family,
There are no words to express my sorrow in hearing of George's passing. I can still see he and Bell in those high school halls. His sense of humor was one to remember and he found the perfect match for that in you Dee. It is at times like this that I regret not being in Amsterdam to express my sympathy in person. No words seem appropriate at a time like this. We are so sorry for your loss. So many fond memories of our early lives together on Slater Street, we were both just starting our families, spent many great times in each other's yards watching the kids play in their little pools or riding their bikes. George was so proud of his boys and he so loved just making them laugh. Family was so important to him, and he always had a smile on his face. We will miss him, and hoping that all your wonderful memories of him and your life together through the years will help to ease the sadness you are feeling.
