Our Dear Parents are together eternally now. The verse for our Dad was written many years ago. He passed away 09-30-1966. The verse for our Mom was written recently. She joined him on 10-18-2007.
Mother
These words are not to say good bye,
But a request for you to stand by.
Wait for me to join you forever
Where our souls shall be together.
Your strength I always draw upon
But these days I still stumble on.
Life season's don't really stay
How quickly do they pass away;
Days without you seem so bleak,
I wish your hand could brush my cheek,
And wipe those miss you tears dry,
However in my heart I know why.
You left a place no one can fill;
I miss you Mom and always will.
When my thoughts go back, as they often do;
I shall treasure the memories, I have of you.
Gone are the days we used to share,
But in my heart you are always there.
The gates of memory will never close
I miss you more than anyone knows.
Your loving daughter
Barbara
Dad
I saw you for the last time Dad.
You looked so peaceful where you lay,
It made me feel so very sad,
Because you couldn?t hear what I had to say.
I?m sorry for the things that happened,
I hope you understand.
Is death really the end?
Do you hear me weep in your new land?
I know you want me to be gay,
But it?s so hard not to feel blue.
Ever since you went away,
I keep remembering how I loved you.

I will miss you very much. But I am lucky to have had you in my life. You were my best friend. The things I remember most are your wonderful smile. I loved chatting with you on the phone about everything and nothing. When I think of you which is very often. It brings a smile to my face. You were loved by many. Especially your children grandchildren and great grandchildren. But now I feel better knowing you are safe with the Angels. I'll miss and love you always. Love Joyce

To my Barbara-J and Family:
It can sometimes be so difficult to quintessentially express one's condolences at a time like this, especially when you care so deeply for the family involved. While true, to apologize for your loss and assure you that you are in my prayers just seems to be so trite, falling short of how sincerely I feel for all of you. Barbara, while I did not know your mother personally, I have seen your face light up over and over again at the very mention of her name. She must have been a very special woman with an unyielding spirit - two qualities you, her daughter, so faithfully inherited and continue to embody. Your strength is an inspiration to us all and I am thinking about you every day. And so, I leave you with this:
Some People
Some people come into our lives
and leave footprints on our hearts
and we are never ever the same.
Some people come into our lives
and quickly go; Some stay for a while and embrace our silent dreams.
They help us become aware
of the delicate winds of hope and we discover within every human spirit there are wings yearning to fly.
They help our hearts to see that
the only stairway to the stars
is woven with dreams, and we find ourselves unafraid to reach high.
They celebrate the true essence
of who we are and have faith in all that we may become.
Some people awaken us to new and deeper realizations, for we gain insight from the passing whisper of their wisdom.
Throughout our lives we are sent
precious souls meant to share our journey.
However brief or lasting their stay, they remind us of why we are here.
To learn...to teach...to nurture...to love.
Some people come into our lives
to cast a steady light upon our path and guide our every step with
their shining belief, helping us to believe in ourselves.
Some people come into our lives
and they move our souls to sing
and make our spirits dance.
They help us to see that everything on earth is part of the incredibility of life and that it is always there for us to take of its joy.
Some people come into our lives
and leave footprints on our hearts
and we are never ever the same.

To all who loved her:
Aunt Ginny was there when I was born. As the years have passed we have lost touch a few times physically, though we always had a connection of the heart. We have had our private little ups and downs; we've had serious heart to hearts and we've had times filled with laughter and love.
We are both survivors; and although she has moved on she has not lost the battle, she gave it one heck of a fight. Her humor and her positive attitude were her most powerful weapons and she took them with her. I know she will carry on the war against cancer where ever she is and will spread love and laughter there forever.
I am so very grateful that we last saw each other with love and understanding and parted with hugs and happiness.
She was the last one of our family in her generation; the generation that gave us life and taught us how to live through life's many bumps and taught us how to love each other through it all. It is up to us now to carry on here on earth and make her proud of her legacy.
Her soul has gone home to be reunited with her family members who have gone before her, and her ashes will be going home to rest in New Hampshire, the place she always loved to be.
I love you, Aunt Ginny and I love all of your children; I will miss you.
Be waiting by the gate with my mother, your sister, and a great big hug when I get there.
Your loving neice, Pat
