Dear Family of Lamie,
I just read of Lamie's demise, and I am saddened.I want you to know I was very fond of him. He touched a sensitive cord within me, I would say spiritual. When I married Jeanette Huckans in 1949, she sold her pristine, 1935 Ford Coup to him which I delivered. He was delighted. Lamie was like an old soul full of wisdom and humor. His brother, Herman, was one of my first friends I met in 1929. I remember being at his house on Main St watching the kids go to school. I was too young. I remember when Lamie was born. Lamie was a great person. He is a credit to his family, friends and community. You must be proud of him as I am.

I had little interaction with Lamie, but recall making deliveries to his store when I worked for Finkle Distributors years ago. My Dad Richard Mraz and his Brother Joe Mraz knew him well and I am sorry for your loss. I do recall his great sense of humor and he always had a smile on his face.. May the Lord look over you and your family at this time, knowing that he is with the Lord hopefully gives you peace.

Marilyn and family: We are sorry for your loss. Lamie was a great person who will be missed by many.
My first memory of Lamie was when I was a 5 year old guest in the Nichol Vly Camp. From the first time I met him he was always a great teacher and friend. I admire his spirit and attitude to persevere despite all that he faced.

Dear Alyce, Shirley, Marilyn and family,
I was so sorry to hear of Lamie's passing but what a valiant fighter he was! My friends and I at St. Andrew's Church in Scotia feel a sense of personal loss since we have been praying for him as we did for Bobby for several years.
Although I only met him a few times, I was struck by his warmth and wonderful sense of humor. He will be greatly missed I'm sure but heaven is a much happier place now.

Dear Mrs. Lanphere:
We were so sorry to hear of the loss of your husband. It seems everyone you talked to knew "Lamie". Just as they knew "Chops". Because of their warm and friendly personalities. Our thoughts and sympathies are with you and your family.

My deepest condolences to your family. Lamie worked in my uncle's sporting goods store when I was a young boy and he was a high school student. I think that time may have helped him develop his story telling skills because there was always a group in the shop and the stories were so enjoyable. I and my sister Pam always liked Lamie so much.
He came to my aunt's funeral a few years ago and we had such a pleasant chat. I made it a point to call him last year when in the area and enjoyed our lunch and conversation so very much.
Even though I have not lived in Fulton county in almost forty years, I know Bob was a very special man and he lived an exemplary life.

Marilyn,
I was so saddened to read of our dear friend Lamie's illness and passing. He was always so special to "Buttsy" and me, enjoying his many stories over iced tea. Take comfort in knowing that he is no longer suffering and is probably already playing a round of golf with his friends. I know he will always live in your heart.
Love & Healing!
