Obituary of Daniel A. Gatto

Daniel Arthur Gatto Jr., 48, passed away Saturday January 14, 2017 in Florida due to a motorcycle accident caused by a careless driver. Danny was born on May 10, 1968. A beloved husband, father, son, grandfather, grandson, brother, nephew and friend to many. The memory of him will be forever burned upon our hearts. He was the most generous and caring man. A legend to some! Danny was a storyteller of epic tales (just ask about Bigfoot), had a quick wit and was simply a joy to be around. He could roof, side and drywall your house with craftsmanship that excelled. He could quote the Bible and in the next breath swear like a sailor. His bike was an extension of himself. Danny loved the freedom of the road. He rode his bike with the skill of many seasons. No one can replace this huge hearted, epic guy. Danny, God threw out the mold when he made you. Ride free. No worries. You can now do this knowing that your heart is full of the love of your wife, family and friends. "IN THE WIND FOREVER" Danny is survived by his wife Carrie Gatto of Florida. Two children, Chantal Gatto and Chelsey Redmond. His sister Debbie Roginski. Grandson Landon Gatto. Aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his Mother, Ann Morrell and his Father PVT. Daniel A Gatto. He was also predeceased by his grandparents, Carmen L. Gatto and Aniello D. Gatto. A Graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family in St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery, Amsterdam where Danny will be placed to rest with his Father. A Celebration of Danny's life will be held following the burial on Saturday, January 28, 2017 at 1:00PM at the Town of Perth Community Center, 1849 County Hwy 107, Perth, NY. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Danny's memory to help with expenses and to set up a trust for his children and grandchildren.
