Obituary of William R. Bramer
William ?Bill? R. Bramer, 60, of Mayfield passed away suddenly Friday evening, November 9, 2007. He was born February 16, 1947 in Amsterdam, NY, the son of Donald and Marie Severine Bramer, who predeceased him.
He attended Canajoharie and Clinton schools. He entered the Air Force in 1965 and served his country in Vietnam. In 1967, he graduated from the SeeBee U.S. Naval Schools construction in Port Hueneme and Port Magu California. He graduated with honors. He also attended the Air Force heavy equipment school at Eglin Air Force base in Florida. He married Linda Monroe on November 22, 1969.
He spent the last thirty-six years as a heavy equipment operator for several companies, such as DA Collins, Jackie Bombard, Barsons, Delaney and most recently A. Servidone of Castleton, NY.
He is survived by his loving daughter Connie and her husband Tom Conti of Randall. Two very cherished granddaughters: Linda and Alexys Conti, two brothers: John Ella Bramer of Canajoharie and Roger Chris Bramer of Cassville, NY; two sisters: Janet Bob Hamrick of St. Mary?s , GA and Donna Lake of Mayfield; a ?stepmom? Mary Vila of Johnstown, several nieces and nephews and a multitude of lifetime friends. He was predeceased by one brother, Milton Bramer of California in 1997.
The family will receive friends at Jeffords and Stewart Funeral Home, 85 West Main Street, Broadalbin, NY on Monday from 5-8 p.m. A prayer service will be held at the funeral home Tuesday at 11 a.m. Interment will immediately follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Fonda. Donations can be made in Mr. Bramer?s memory to the American Heart Association, 440 New Karner Rd. Albany, 12205.
