Obituary of John E. Pazin
Mr. John E. Pazin, Jr., 70 years old, of Point Breeze Road, died Sunday as a result of a fire at his home. Mr. Pazin was born October 11, 1937 in Saratoga, the son of John E. and Alice Stetkar Pazin, Sr. and was a graduate of Saratoga High School. John lived and worked on the family farm located on Stetkar Road. This included maintaining the equipment to run the apple orchard. The farm was founded by his granparents Joseph and Alice Stetkar. He was also a graduate of Hudson Valley Community College with a degree in Computer Science. John served five years with the U.S. Airforce achieving the rank of Airman First Class. He then accepted a position with the Burroughs Corp. in Boston Massachussetts. In 1978 he moved back to Saratoga working at the Unisys Corp. which is the successor to Burroughs.
Mr. Pazin was of the Protestant faith. He was a member of the VFW in Saratoga. He enjoyed watching NASCAR, hunting and fishing, gardening and antiquing. John had a life long love of animals.
He is survived by his wife, the former Edna Mae Lavender Staley whom he married May 22, 1982. John is also survived by his aunt and uncle, Charlie and Frances Clough; and his cousins: Joseph and Colleen Clough and Justin, Aaron and Katelyn Clough.
Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial is in Pine Grove Cemetery, Tribes Hill. There will be no calling hours.
