Dear Edna Mae,Charlie and Frances,
Words can not express my feelings of sadness and concern I feel for all of you. Even though we didn't see each other as often as I would have liked to,my memories of John were of what a kind hearted quiet person he was and how much he loved you and his life long friends. To the end his devotion to the feelings of those he held dear showed. When you all feel up to it I would like to visit you.
