Dear Kathy, John and Emily-
I was so saddened to read about your dear mom. Words cannot express what is like to have your mother/dear sister taken away from you. Janet was a very sweet lady that I knew many many years ago as I babysat for Kathy and John. I had alot of laughs with Janet and your Aunt Ada also. My prayers and thoughts are with you all at this most difficult time.
Love and Peace,
Patsy Batz Smith

Dear Kathy Mark and family
John Barb and family
There are no appropriate words to express my sincere sympathy for the passing of one of my favorite relatives - Aunt Janet will always be remembered for her sense of humor, her wit and her compassion for me and my family. She was a wonderful lady and my saddest regret is that I didn't call her often enough or tell her often enough how much I loved her although I am sure she knew how much she meant to me - she never expected anything nor wanted anyone to go out of their way for her yet she deserved more - I will have a hard time forgiving myself for not attending to her in those lonely retirement years. It's like the closing of another chapter in my life as she joins her dear sweet husband, her parents and the siblings she adored - my comfort is knowing she is no longer alone and probably in the middle of a pitch game already. It is now up to her cherished sister Emily to carry on the Durand legacy knowing that she was so loved for so many years by her older brother and sisters. Emily you were the angel Janet needed always by her side. Everyone should be so blessed to have you for a sister. You were not only sisters but best friends and I know too well that no one can ever take that place in your heart. I speak for my entire family when I say we will miss our dear Aunt Janet, may she forever rest in peace. Lovingly - Mari Jean
