To all Inge & Ray's children - so sorry about mom - just read about her passing and felt quite a loss personally. She was such a help to me when I was a "new bride" and a teenager to boot - gave me lessons that would have taken a long time to learn otherwise. Your Mom & Dad always were there for me - how proud you must have been of your parents. My sincere condolences....Jan Romano Steele

Dear Ray and family,
we were surprised and saddened to hear of Inge's death; she was so well and lively when we saw her last 2 years ago.
I was so happy the first time I finally visited my godmother in Gloversville in June 2002; even though I was only six when Inge and Ray left Germany in 1948 I have good memories of them - my mom often told me the story of my first day of school outfit, complete with saddle shoes, which was given to me by Inge and Ray.
Please let me know the time and place of her memorial service and if possible Jon and I will attend.
Please accept our heartfelt condolences.
Sincerely, Jon and Renate Wilson

I know Omaâ??s passing brings great sorrow to everyone. She was a mother, a sister and what I know most is that she was a grandmother. Victoriaâ??s face always became engulfed in a glow when she spoke of Oma. After meeting her and looking into Omaâ??s caring eyes, I understood immediately why.
I am grateful to have had the opportunity to meet and briefly get to know her. My last memory of Oma is her sitting on the deck of the cruise ship watching the people. As we approached her it was clear she recognized us by her smile.
I know she was a very important and influential part of her familyâ??s life. After reading her obituary I believe the same is true for the community.
Please accept my deep sympathy, I will be thinking of you in your sorrow.

Ray,
You have always been like a brother. We have been friends our whole life. Your loss is my loss and words can never express what I truly feel. We were all fortunate growing up, in that we all had more than one mother, and I certainly felt that way about your mom. Think back about all the things we put her through: Obviously, it was always your fault: Ray, my deepest sympathies to you and all your family. My prayers are with you. Love, Kevin
