My dear Chris, Norm and all, My heart goes out to all of you as I read of Martha's passing. My hope is that it was peaceful for this gracious lady who holds a special place in my heart. I have so many fond memories of summers when she and Hank "camped" at Grandma & Grandpa Hiset's. They showed me so much of the world that I didn't know enough about to even dream about. They showed me how I could make a difference for people wherever I chose to live - that I didn't have to live in a big city far away to make life meaningful. Although I had not seen Martha in some time, she was with me in my thoughts often. I hope your memories will give you moments of peace in the coming months. There is no feeling in the world like saying goodbye to your mother, I know. My prayers for you, Karen
