Sue,
I cannot express the shock I felt as I was reading through the obituaries and finding your moms name. I loved Shirley and enjoyed the time I had spent with her being her aide and her friend. She was always in my heart and mind although I didnt get to see her much after she went to the wells house. I feel ashamed I didnt get to see her. A true lesson for me to learn that life moves quickly, dont leave things for tommorow because sometimes tommorow never gets here. I always meant to get down to see her but I let life get in the way. Im sorry for that.
I do know I will never forget the happy times and the laughs we shared together. Shirl was a joy to be around and i do miss the days when she was at the towers with all her friends. She looked out for each of them on her floor, making sure everytime she made spaghetti, she made a bowl for them all. She was a cutie for sure. I hope your doing well although i know all this takes time for the hurt and the pain to heal. I feel comforted knowing your mom is wrapped in the arms of God. I do know she is loved and missed here on earth. Take care and call me sometime.

Sue, We are so sorry for your loss. It seems only yesterday that we were kids and thought that our parents would be here forever. I can remember Shirley and her scoldings for our many antics! You were a very good daughter and cared for your mother when it really mattered. May you find peace with the wonderful memories of Shirley. Sally & Marty
