I ust recently saw that Jim Dufel passed away. He was a cousin of mine my father's name was Arthur Dufel, his father was Charles Dufel and mother, Martha Severine. My mother, Mary E. Dufel used to talk to him quite often until she went in Mt. Loretto Nursing home in 2004. She passed away in 2006. I am sorry for your loss and am also sorry I did not get to know him myself.

May I offer my families condolences.
I was fortunate to have been a neighbor, friend, and member of Troop 34 Boy Scouts, where Jim taught me a lot about leadership and respect for each indiviual. I used these skills throughout my career in leadership positions that I served in and they were invaluable to my success.
Sincerely, Bob Gardinier

Mr. Dufel and his family always made you feel comfortable come Sunday mornings in Church in Tribes Hill. He would always smile and greet you. This is a memory I will always have of Jim Dufel how nice he was to our family. We shared our height too! My sympathy goes out to his family.

My deepest sympathies to the entire family.
Uncle Jim was a great guy. He will be sorely missed. I still remember fondly from my youth; the croquet matches in the backyard at his house, the model rockets launches and the backyard barbeques during the summers in Tribes Hill. Uncle Jim always had something nice to say, and he always had some tidbit of interesting local lore I had never heard before.
Heaven is a bit brighter for his presence in it.
All my love and prayers.
