Obituary of Carol Anne Manley
Carol Anne Manley, 64, died peacefully October 24, 2008 following a short illness at St. Joseph's Hospital in Syracuse. She was a resident of Fayetteville for the past thirty nine years.
She was born August 10, 1944, in Utica NY and raised in Fonda NY. She was the daughter of the late Leo T. and Gertrude Healey Manley. A 1962 graduate of Fonda- Fultonville Central school, she was employed by the NYS Dept. of Equalization and Assessment for 37 years. She was a communicant of the Immaculate Conception Church in Fayetteville NY.
In addition to her parents, Carol was also predeceased by her precious great nephew, baby Leo Joseph DeSantis. Her love of family and children was her greatest joy and source of pleasure. She is survived by three sisters: Mary DeSantis and Margaret Fittipaldi Kevin of Saratoga Springs NY, Jean Papa James of Fonda, NY., several nieces and nephews, Catherine, Christine, Robert, Joseph Gretta DeSantis, Diane Rossi Timothy, Krin Asselta Paul, Sean, Dina and Dominick Fittipaldi. She is also survived by great nieces and nephews Zachary, Catherine and Riley Rossi, Garrett Jonte, Elena DeSantis and good friends Grace and Richard Bowdish, as well as several cousins.
There will be no calling hours. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St. Cecilia's Church, Fonda NY on Wednesday at 11:00 am. Fr.Patrick Gallagher OFM Conv., celebrant.
Internment will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Fonda NY.
Carol was a wonderful sister, aunt, cousin and friend to so many. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered. Her generous, kind and loving spirit will always be with us and will never diminish.
