On October 24th my life changed forever. Carol Anne was the sister I never had, the friend I will love and cherish forever. For more than 45 years we shared laughter, tears, joy and and sorrow. We were a team. I married Richard and life became a trio of caring, sharing, and always helping one another! Our hurt is profound, no words can ever begin to describe it. The Love is forever. The world lost a kind and gentle loving soul. Heaven gained an angel much too soon! Eternal Life grant to her Oh Lord! Our deepest sympathy to Mary, Jean, Margaret, and the family.

May the roads rise to meet you.
May the wind be always at your back.
May the sun shine warmly upon your face;
The rain fall softly upon your fields
And, until we meet again,
May God hold you in the palm of His hand.

I missed Carol at our last lunch
at Domenicks. I worked with Carol
at least 20 years and I enjoyed every chat we had, we both liked
animals and we shared our pet stories. Every Palm sunday I would
make some crosses out of palms,she
asked me for years for that little
favor. Carol was a warm caring
co-worker and friend.

I also worked with Carol at the NYS Office of Real Property Services from 1980 until a few years ago when Carol retired. We shared a common hometown almost as I grew up in Amsterdam, which is very near Fonda, Carol's hometown. I last saw her at our old-timers luncheon in May and she looked and apparently felt very well. I will always remember her smile. My sincere regrets go to her family and friends. She left us too soon.

Carol was a loving lady who shared her love through generations and all over the world. Her love followed me through her nephew who is married to our daughter, Gretta to Tijuana and Houston as she cared deeply as I went through my own cancer issues. We like to believe that she is cuddling our precious Leo until we can. She will be missed by all who have been on the receiving end of her gracious love, but we will continue as we learned from her example.
"How long does a loved one live? Is it as long as you can touch her or as long as she touches you?" With that quote in mind, Carol will live as long as we do as she continues to touch us through our precious memories of her and her love.
Celebrating Carol's life and example, Jo Shnell
