I will always remember Grandpa, in his old white house in Galway sitting by a black rotary phone singing to me: "Jesus loves me, this I know, for the Bible tells me so, little ones to him belong, they are weak but he is strong. Yes, Jesus loves me, yes, Jesus loves me, yes, Jesus loves me, the Bible tells me so." I love Grandpa because he taught me that song, and I have come to believe those words as I grew up to be true. I love Grandpa because he, against all odds, raised my Dad to be a loving father to me, Sam, and Nick. I will remember him always because he is a part of my Dad, me, and my children. This love will live on and Emma and Ben will know him because I will teach them the song he taught me once when I was a little girl. At this time we must all remember what he taught us - "we are weak but He is strong".

Words cannot express what a wonderful person Donald W. Numbers Sr. Bubba was and the unselfishness of this man. He gave all to his family, friends and people around him. Whenever someone needed help Bubba was there. He loved his children, grandchildren, greatgrandchildren, relatives and friends. It was my honor to be with him and to help care for him along with my Mother Darlene,Father Dennis and Sister Stacy! Whenever you wanted to find out howa relative was doing all you had to do was ask Bubba he always, read letters, enjoyed pictures and remmbered telephone conversations. He would talk about how proud he was of his sons, grandchildren and great grandchildren and share stories!Donald Numbers Sr is an example of who we should strive to become,Furthermore,he had much intellegence, smarts and experience we were thankful to learn from him. Family togetherness is the most important during tough times and The Numbers Family will use those lessons we learned and we were taught and know Bubba is our inspiration. Bubba we miss you so much but know your not suffering anymore and someday we will be with you again until then WE will carry on your legacy!

There never seems to be enough time. No matter how hard we try the business of day to day life always seems to get in the way of keeping in touch with family and friends. Only when our time has run out do we realize what we missed and all the things that where still left to be done or said. Bubba impacted all of our lives and he will be sorley missed.

I was blessed to have spent the final days leading up to my grandfathers passing with him. Somehow I just knew that it was the time to tell him all that I always wanted him to know and I am thankful I got that time with him.
The morning of October 31st I brought the kids to his house. I whispered to Grandpa that the kids had a Holloween party at school and I was going to take the kids to school and I would be right back. I told him that we loved him and I left. When I returned, Mom met me at the door to let me know that he had passed. In that moment, I had looked at my Dad and saw the best gift that Grandpa had ever given me. Grandpa, we will all miss you and while you're up there please look in on my four little D's. DakotaLee, Donavan, Daniel, and Drew Braidan. We love you and will miss you. God Bless the family and friends of Donald Numbers Sr.
In our thoughts, Brian and Stacy

To anyone who knew my Grandpa,
He was an amazing person. He was so strong and loved God so much. Before I left for school in September, I visited him and we talked. He told me he made his peace with God, he said that he would miss me and that he wanted to see me on my wedding daysomeday. I told him he would, and no matter what, I know he would always be with me. I told him it's not goodbye forever and with no doubt in my mind, we're going to see each other again. He teared up and nodded. I hugged him, and I felt like it would be the last time. I told him I loved him and he said the same.
Grandpa knew he was loved and he loved everyone back just as much. I talked with Michelle on Halloween when he passed, and we said, knowing Grandpa's sense of humor, he probably said, "Trick or treat, see you later!" with a smile, when he left us.
We will all miss him, but now he's in a better place with family and he will always be remembered until we see him again.
I love you Grandpa!

Dear Numbers Family,
My memories are long and fond of "Bubba". With his beautiful blue eyes and fair Scottish skin.. he was one of a kind. With his generosity.. he would truly tug at one's heart strings.
A man who always approached life with faith, love and honesty.. and never gave up.
From the moment I met him, he welcomed me into the family. He was very fortunate to have such a loving family that thought the world of him.
With the birth of his recent great grandson .. too far distant relatives in Scotland..the world is a better place.. his legacy continues.
He will always be held in a special place in my heart.. all the days of my life...
Rest in Peace
With Love,
Holly
