Dear Bushman Family,
Although we do not know each other, I felt compelled to write. While visiting my mom in Amsterdam this morning, she was reading The Recorder, and she always begins with the obituaries. When she came upon your father's obituary, she immediately noticed "Merrill's Marauders." I would like you to know that my dad was also a Marauder, serving in China, Burma and India. I have many diaries and photos and memoirs of my dad's during his service. I just wanted to share this with you, as these two great men most likely knew each other well. May your father rest in peace. Take care and be well.
