Dear Family of John Hewitt,
I am so sorry to hear of your loss of John. I have such fond memories of him when we were all the Eglintine cousins, especially at Rye Harbor. As adults I only saw him at big family events, weddings and funerals, but he was always there, lending his support; his presence will be missed.

Dearest Kate and Tara,
Ann Marie called me today and told me the bad news and I am heartsick for all of you. As I looked at all of the pictures of John, I couldn't help but think of all of the time we spent together and how much time has past. I miss you all. My heart will be with you tomorrow and I will keep you all in my prayers. He was funny, true to himself, and a good person. He taught me how to use a hammer in Sacandaga,when we tried to help him build the deck, remember?! Can't say I was a good student, but it was fun...He made a mean pizza and great chili and he loved you...and I'll never forget him.
