Obituary of Dominick G. Politano

Dominick G. Politano 61, of McKay Road, passed away Monday morning at Albany Medical Center Hospital. Born in Amsterdam on July 2, 1947, he was the son of the late George and Angeline Crisalli Politano. A 1964 graduate of Wilbur H. Lynch High School, he served with the US Navy as a flight mechanic during the Vietnam era in Italy. Dominick retired due to disability from the U.S. Postal Service. He was of the Roman Catholic faith and was a parishioner of the former St. Michael the Archangel Church. He leaves his wife, the former Claudia Malecki; his daughter Gina and her husband Aaron Rendo , and his adored grandson Jacob Rendo all of Amsterdam ; his sisters in law; Geraldine DeGrazio and Gloria Meola as well as aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins. Services were at the convenience of the family from the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue with Fr. David Mickiewicz, celebrant. Interment was in St. Stanislaus' Cemetery. At Dominick's request, there were no calling hours and contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital in care of the funeral home office.
