My friends try not to mourn your loss; but instead, rejoice in Colleen's transition. If there truly is a heaven, I can not think of anyone who is more deserving of receiving its rewards than Colleen. It would not be fair for you to keep her to yourselves. Imagine all the joy that she is spreading, by finally being able to embrace her loved ones who went before her. Sherrill, try to view this as a temporary separation. You had nearly sixty three wonderful years together. That is only a blink of an eye, compared to the eternity that you will someday share with her. Colleen is a truly special lady. She enriched every person's life that she ever came in contact with. I feel honored that she allowed me to be part of her life. I will alwas remember my friend for her honesty, compassion, warm smile, gentle nature, and child like innocence. Far too often, we lose these traits along life's highway. My friend Colleen retained these gifts her entire life. Angel's truly do walk among us.

I had the privilege to meet Colleen and her family through her granddaughter, my best friend, Karla, in 1985. Colleen was a very caring, kind, and gentle person. She would do anything for you. She left foot prints on my heart. She always had a welcoming smile everytime I saw her and she could always make us laugh. I enjoyed having coffee and cookies with Colleen and Sherrill.
