Obituary of Stanley M. Putman
Stanley M. Putman, age 54, of Gloversville, was stricken at home Sunday, June 14, 2009.
He was born February 26, 1955 in Gloversville, the son of Carolyn Becker Putman and the late Earl B. Putman.
Stanley was employed by the NYS Unified Court System in Schenectady City Court and the Fulton County Supreme and County Court for seven years. He had also worked for the Fulton County Dept. of Motor Vehicles for 16 years.
He was a member of the Mayfield Central Presbyterian Church and choir, the Mohawk Valley Chorus, the Concordia Club and the Fulton County Farm Bureau.
Stanley enjoyed family events such as camping, exhibiting cattle at the Fonda Fair, singing and spending time with his friends.
He was predeceased by his father, Earl B. Putman on November 3, 1988. He is survived by his mother, Carolyn B. Putman; his partner, Stephen DiMarco; his ex-wife, Laurie Milnyczuk Close Jon; his children, Clarissa M. Putman and Gregory M. Putman; his brothers, Jack Putman Bonnie and Kevin Putman Elaine, all of Gloversville; his sisters, Kimberly Travis Richard of Mayfield and Keletha Keehan Matthewof Fultonville; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
The family will receive relatives and friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, 51 Fremont St; Gloversville. A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, June 18, at Mayfield Central Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Bonnie Orth officiating. Interment will take place at Union Rural Cemetery, Mayfield. Memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to the Mayfield Central Presbyterian Church, 22 N. Main Street, Mayfield, NY 12117 or to the Mohawk Valley Chorus, P.O. Box 612, Amsterdam, NY 12010.
