Vera was such a special individual, so funny and kind. I am blessed to have known her visiting with the McGovern family growing up - I will always remember traveling with them to West Palm to see her, and all of the wonderful times at their house visiting with her. She was always so welcoming and friendly, with such a warm heart! My thoughts and prayers are with Vera and her family during this difficult time.

I'll never forget all of the love, guidance, and advice my grandma has given me for the past 28 years. I loved my yearly visits to her in Florida. She was generous and kind, always welcoming me along with a friend into her home. We had great nights where we played dominoes and shuffle board. Although grandma would have loved to see me married, she always gave me great boyfriend advice and left me with one last piece before she died. I know grandma will always be with me in spirit. I am happy she will be with my grandpa in heaven watching over us. I love them both so much and will miss them forever. <3 "Her One and Only Queen", Heather.

Vera was my supervisor at Weber Construction. She would say to me Rita you know you should start putting away $5 each pay period and I will be glad to take it to the bank when I go. Well when we went to lunch one day at the Ripe Tomato she drove and took Barbara and me. She liked that place. We would correspond at Christmas with a card and then suddenly no card in the past 2 years. I know she sold her house in Rotterdam and moved to a nice place in Saratoga and winters in Florida. Lost tract of her and never realized she was so close at the place on Tryon Avenue as I would go there once in a while to see another person I did work with and not sure what happened to her now. She spoke of her family often in her christmas cards which I enjoyed hearing from her. No cards in 2 years and that was unusual for her. She will be missed but wished I had known she was so close to us to visit. I had a knee replacement end of April or I would be there with all of you. Sympathy to the families. As ever Rita DeCocco

Dear Joe, Diane, and Family-Peter and I are so sorry for your loss. We have both lost parents and know what it is like to experience that loss. I know that you were a wonderful son and family to her, so you can be at peace with that knowledge. You are in our thoughts and prayers.Love, Peter and Colleen Connolly
