I worked with Jean for quite a few years at the Clock Building. We had our laughs and enjoyed our conversations. I saw her maybe 3 months ago and we chatted. Was great seeing her and catching up. My condolences and prayers to the family at this tragic time! Jean will be truly missed by so many. Heaven got a new angel and she will be watching over all of her family. I truly am so sorry for your loss! RIP JEAN!!!! Fly high my friend....fly high......

We all know jean always worried about every body else before herself.her joy was her family and her grandkids.she really fell for couponing. Lisa and I would call ourselves sneaking out all the time hoping Jean wouldn't find us, because at first she really didnt like me, but she always did find us..after awhile we just all just hung out together and became good friends. I could write a book with all the memories I have of my lifelong friend. The one memory that I have played over and over in my mind these last few days is many many years ago when I was just 18 and Jeannie was 15, we took a trip up Mill Street to Van Ness Street to see the boyfriend i had broken up with. Well as luck would have it someone called the cops on us and they came and arrested me for disorderly conduct and because of her age they told Jeannie to go home. But no Jeannie would have none of that, she looked that cop right in his face and said she didn't do nothing let her go. He said go home, of course she wouldn't and she tried to get me out of the back seat. She ticked off the cop and he put her right next to me in the back seat. We were both laughing , yes laughing (you had to be there) and she turned to me and with a little head butt (because we were hand cuffed),she said - we go together, if they are you taking you in they are taking me in, that's what best friends are for!!!! For those that truly knew Jeannie this would not be a surprise. Like I said I could write a book, and although life's journey took us miles apart, we remained friends and we both knew it only took a call and we would have dropped everything to be there for one another. If I had one wish, I could only hope that she knew how much she meant to me and how much i valued her friendship. A little piece of my heart has been taken. I love you dear friend! I will never forget our memories. I love you!
