Obituary of Jane E. Orlanski

Jane E. Orleanski, 84 years old, of the Theodore Roosevelt Apts., died Saturday at her home. She was born June 14, 1925 in Ossining, N.Y. a daughter of A. George and Grace Sheldon Dick. Her family moved to Johnstown in 1932 and then to Amsterdam in 1943 where she graduated from the former Wilbur H. Lynch High School in 1945. Jane was employed by the former N.Y. Telephone Co., Lurie's Dept. Store and Amsterdam Memorial Hospital retiring in 1988. She was of the Presbyterian faith and was a member of James T. Bergen Post Auxiliary, D.A.V. Auxiliary, St. Mary's Senior's and AARP. On June 14, 1947 she married Edmund Orleanski, Sr. who predeceased her November 2, 1961. Jane is survived by two sons: Edmund Orleanski, Jr. and James Orleanski and his companion Shelley Drozinski of Fultonville. One aunt, nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. She was also predeceased by her sister Evelyn Bates. Funeral services will take place Wednesday, 11:00am at W. Hoosick Rural Cemetery. There will be no calling hours.
