Obituary of Jay L. Dufel
Jay L. Dufel, 46, of Tribes Hill, NY passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday February 2, 2010 at his home.
Born on May 18, 1963, the son of Milton and Helen Tyndall Dufel. He was a lifelong resident of the Tribes Hill area and attended local schools. He was a 1982 Graduate of Fonda-Fultonville High School. Mr. Dufel worked for many years on his family's farm, formerly known as A. Dufel and Sons Farm, in Tribes Hill, NY.
Jay was a member of the Tribes Hill Presbyterian Church. He was an avid fan of Stock Car Racing and was a huge fan of Stock Car Legend Jack Johnson. He also was a member of CVRA Motor Sports. Mr. Dufel was an avid bowler and bowled a 300 Game at the Perry Lanes Bowling Center in Johnstown, NY.
Jay is survived by his three beloved children, Zachary, Damian and Kendall. His mother, Helen Tyndall Dufel of Tribes Hill, NY. One sister Faye Winsman and her husband Todd of Fonda, NY. One brother, Keith Dufel of Amsterdam, NY. One aunt and Godmother, Faith China of Tribes Hill, NY. One Uncle, Howard Dufel of Tribes Hill, NY. Two nieces, Jessica and Kayla Winsman. Special cousin, John Newell of Tribes Hill, N.Y. Several cousins also survive. Jay was predeceased by his father Milton Dufel who passed away in 1997 and his grandparents, Arthur and Elizabeth Dufel and Loretta and Richard Tyndall.
Funeral services will be held on Friday February 5, 2010 at 10:00A.M. at the Jackson & Betz Funeral Home, 15 Main St., Fultonville, New York with Rev. Greg DeSalvatore presiding. Interment of Cremains will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Tribes Hill, NY. The family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday February 4, 2010 from 4:00 to 7:00P.M. at the funeral home.
