Eddie, I am so very sorry to hear about the loss of you're dad! He was a very kind, very intelligent man. I remember still the night he stopped over with your Mother to show me that new van that was retro fitted to except her wheel chair. He was so very happy, so proud that evening! My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Our condolences to Eddie and the rest of his family. Mr Retersdorf (as we always called him), was a great neighbor to my dad and to my brother and me when we were growing up on Gregory street. Our sincere sympathy.
Ron and Jim Rizzo.

I was blessed to have been one of the members of the "Visitation Committee" of the NMSUMC a while back. I was fortunate to have spent time with Dick He was a wonderful person with a knack of sharing many interesting tidbits of his life and his family. He was very proud of his family, loved camp, and really enjoyed going to the Travers with his gang for as long as he did. I am sorry for your loss and send my sincere sympathy.

May you be comforted by the peace of Christ & Christ of peace.
I have very fond memories of Dick & Ida from NMSUMC. True disciples of Jesus that exemplified a patience and gentleness I really took note of as a young man just beginning my formal journey of faith.
Shalom, Pastor Al Johnson, Pine Grove UMC, Colonie

My condolences to Eddie and the rest of the family. What a fine, kind man Dick was. Always a sweet word "over the fence" from the time I was a young child. Always a wave, a smile, and everything good.

I have 35 plus years of memories of this most loving and caring man. The funny one is how we used to dread seeing him pull up in his van on a beautiful sunny morning as we were enjoying playing in the water at camp full well knowing we were now going to have to start "working". Most recent and dear, however, I got to sit next to him under a big shade tree at camp. He was on his fold out ribbon chair with the greatest look of excitement on his face. He was so excited to see Adam drive by in his newly built boat on it's first time in the water. He was filled with pride when Adam drove by and waved. He was just beaming with pride!
Oh, and I have to add how funny it was when one day Bev was bragging on Aunt Ida's baked beans and he confessed that he had been making them! Uncle Dick was truly a caring, lovely man, just like his wonderful brothers that we have lost. He was the last of a great crew, none the which we will ever see again.
I am sending on my love to you, Ed, Sue, Adam & Jess, Sarah, and Savanna; and to all the Retersdorf family. May God bless you.
