Dear Phyllis & Children of Dave,
I regret that I was in Austin, TX when David passed away, and was not there for his memorial service.
I was a classmate of Dave's/your dad, and considered him a good friend in high school. We were band and chorus buddies. He was a great guy and a great friend.
I'm so glad now that I ran into him last fall at the Riverside Center. We talked at length - mostly he talked about his family, and it was obvious that you were the center of his existence. He bragged about his kids, and I bragged about mine! I had not seen him since our 35th reunion at Perthshire.
I am so sorry for your loss. The community too has suffered a great loss in losing David. What a guy!
God bless you all. I know He is with you in your grief, and that Dave is with Him in Heaven.

Phyllis
Randy and I just heard of David's passing yesterday. We are so sorry and send our condolences to you and your family. We took time last evening to reflect back to all of his help in planning our reception in September...he made everything was so easy to us even though the menu was a new 'creation'...and the extra steps taken to make it so memorable for our guests was awesome. He was a special man and will be greatly missed.

Dear Phyllis,
Please accept my sincere sympathies in the loss of your beloved David. Dave was part of a group of guys my sister and I hung out with in high school. About 2 years ago I met Dave again when I attended my nephew's wedding at the Perhshire. He was just as I had remebered him and we had a nice chat catching up on our lives since HS. I have a photo of Dave and the rest of the guys that I was always going to share with him. But, I procrastinated and never did what I intended. Please accept my deepest sympathy for your loss. Dave was a familiar face at my house while I was growing up. I have many memories of him that I will always hold in my heart. They range from him and my brother Don giving me a hard time when I was a teenager to the kindness and generosity he showed me for my daughters wedding to his kindness to my whole family when my sister-in-law and mom passed away. He gave so much and expected nothing in return.
His smile will never be forgotten.

Dear Phyllis
I wanted to let you and the kids know how sorry I was to hear about Dave. He was a terrific man and a great friend. Growing up with Dave I learned at an early age that behind his tough exterior was a gentle and kind man a trait that continued throughout his life.
