So sorry to hear of Sam's passing. He was a very nice guy. We had a lot of fun working together at the Recorder. He taught me well when I started there.

Sam and Pat were some of the first people I met when I moved to New York and we have shared many years of good times, watching our kids grow up, become grandparents. Alto I don't live in the area anymore I consider them to be my best friends.
There are many memories and good times to share but one of my favorites is the Santanoni preserve backpack weekend where the bugs were so bad we all had to "" borrow "" one of the camp buildings. turning it into an adventure. later Sam, Pat, Willy and I backed packed a four day trip to Moose pond, up the Santanoni slide and around the back way to a peaceful night on the lake lean to before returning to life.
we spent years enjoying nature on the trails and Indian Lake Stewart's served us all many scoops of ice cream.
I am glad I was able to visit a few weeks ago to say hello and chit chat about how past and present things.
My thoughts go out to Pat, Scott and Lisa and all the family. Sam will be missed by many

So many great memories of my father. Hiking, fishing, camping, hunting, watching tv, long drives, ice cream cones. I cherish them all. But I miss his humor, his hard work and his knowledge. My favorite joke if his.... someone is at the door... a squirrel... they are always looking for nuts....

When We were little kids and I couldn't sleep I'd jump up and go into my brothers room and tell jokes ! Dad was usually out working and Sam was in charge! He was 16 in charge of his 4 younger siblings! He would giggle at my stupid jokes from under the covers and tell me I was funny and should be a comedian! When I grew up! I'm gonna miss that giggle of hid! His sence of humor. And funny funny wit! Even in his sick bed he made a joke about Paul going out of his room to check out the nurses ! Paul was checking out the babies in the nursery! Sam says he means the Babes!! (hot nurses) lol Then he proceeded to tell me I was a pain in his ass!! For trying to get him to eat! I will Forever miss my brother! Love you Sam!!! Knock knock who's there???
